Yesterday, everything changed again.
After something as simple as cutting grass, I lost all feeling on my left side. In that moment, I knew—it was happening again. The ambulance came, and just like March 22, 2025, when I was life-flighted to Duke Hospital, I was back in a fight for my life.
This time, doctors told me it was a TIA—a warning sign, a second stroke.
They gave me medication and released me… but the story didn’t end there.
I made it to church. I sat there and watched my grandchildren sing.
That moment reminded me—I'm still here.
This episode isn’t just about a medical event. It’s about gratitude, faith, and what it feels like to be given another day when you know how close you came to losing it.
I’m not taking this life for granted.
Not anymore.
