Through the Eyes of a Fifth Grader: An Unfiltered Conversation with Kennedi Richardson
What happens when we stop talking to our children and actually take the time to listen to them?
In this special episode of The Conversations That Change Lives, I sit down with my granddaughter, Kennedi Richardson, for an unfiltered conversation about life through the eyes of a fifth grader.
Kennedi talks about fashion, art, cooking, dancing, gymnastics, school, and what has changed between fourth and fifth grade. But the conversation goes much deeper.

We talk about social media—the good and the bad—along with faith, family, love, and the people who make her feel safe and supported. She shares what she loves about her Gigi, her mom and dad, her auntie and uncle, and even reveals one of her favorite foods: STEAK! 🥩😂
There are moments that are funny, moments that are surprisingly thoughtful, and moments that remind us just how much children understand when adults give them the space to speak.
Sometimes we don't need to teach the lesson.
Sometimes we need to hand them the microphone and listen.

🎙️ Kennedi Richardson — unfiltered, thoughtful, funny, and completely herself.
